Mission Statement

Our mission is to achieve prevention and a cure for breast and prostate cancer in our lifetime by providing funding for clinical innovation and research through our partnership with the John Wayne Cancer Institute. Through our partnerships and initiatives we hope to raise awareness about measures through education about promoting good breast and prostate health.

Events

Annual Black Tie Gala

The ABCs most extraordinary evening takes place each November when the organization recognizes individuals who have made a difference in the fight against cancer. A glittering black-tie event held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, the party attracts more than 800 guests as well as major media attention.

The Spirit of Hollywood Award

The Spirit of Hollywood Award is annually bestowed on a respected member of the entertainment industry whose efforts have in some way called attention to the devastating effect of cancer and the importance of raising money for cancer research.

The Spirit of Hope Award

The prestigious Spirit of Hope Award, created by Lillian Brem, recognizes individuals who have distinguished themselves for their philanthropic commitment to the work of the Associates for Breast and Prostate Cancer Studies and the community at large.

Mothers Day Luncheon

The Mothers Day Luncheon honors women of achievement. It was Initiated in May 2000, this event attracts top businesswomen and opinion leaders for an afternoon that recognizes women who have been major forces in their industries and in the community.
